Ewa Korzan - Sobieraj

Ewa Korzan – Sobieraj: legal counsel, member of the Regional Board of Legal Counsel, graduate of the Department of Law and Administration and Department of Modern Languages at the University of Silesia in Katowice. She has extensive experience in the application of law, gained initially as a judge (“asesor”), and then as legal counsel. At present, she is an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration at the National Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw.

Legal Counsel Ewa Korzan-Sobieraj is very experienced in providing day-to-day legal assistance to large companies and capital groups which carry on business operations both in Poland and abroad; she gained invaluable experience by rendering legal services to entities such as multinational companies (ABB Sp. z o.o. where she was General Counsel - Legal Department Director, Chief Legal Advisor responsible for legal assistance to ABB power corporation subsidiaries in Poland - and Commercial Proxy of the holding company), private equity companies (Kulczyk Holding S.A, AKJ Capital Group dealing with private equity type investments, venture capital and the real estate market).

She has been involved in providing legal assistance to other multinational corporations, such as Adtrans Sp. z o.o. and Daimler-Benz (currently DaimlerChrysler Automotive Polska). She has also rendered legal services to entities with a business-scientific profile, such as: Instytut Badań Rozwojowych “EMAG”, coal mines in the Silesia region, cooperatives and trading companies.

In providing legal services, she draws on knowledge gained in the area of running business operations (she has attended numerous management and MBA training courses).

She has served as a supervisory board member of a number of commercial companies (Polish and foreign). Ms. Korzan-Sobieraj has authored several publications in the area of corporate law.
